Medal Of Honor Recipients May Get MVA Break
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A group of senators wants to give Maryland's four Medal of Honor recipients a free ride when they renew their driver's licenses or car registrations.
The Senate is set to debate a measure Thursday that would bar the Motor Vehicle Administration from charging recipients of the nation's highest military honor for their standard renewals. The measure would save honorees the $30 MVA charges to renew driver's licenses and $128 it charges to renew car registrations.
