Amtrak Acela Train Stopped After Train Hits Deer

BALTIMORE (AP) — Amtrak says its Acela train 2121 has stopped near Aberdeen after hitting a deer.

A company spokeswoman says the train, traveling from New York to Washington, hit the deer about 4 p.m. Friday.
Transfer of approximately 225 passengers to another train started about 5:20 p.m.

    Somebody quick check that deer for DWI Or was it headed for BWI?

    The train is disabled by something like this only if the bones got up underneath and damaged the break lines or some other critical component. Very rare.

    I was on that train in the front car. It sounded much more worse than one deer. It had to be the whole family plus bambi to make that much noise and damage. We were all moved over to a local train to stand the rest of our destination after we crossed over a slanted plank.
