RG Steel Completes Purchase From Severstal

BALTIMORE (AP) -- RG Steel LLC says it has completed the stock purchase of plants from Severstal, making it the fourth-largest flat-rolled steel company in the United States.

RG Steel, an affiliate of the Renco Group, on Thursday completed the purchase of plants at Sparrows Point, Md.; Warren, Ohio, and Wheeling, W.Va.

RG Steel said preparations are under way to restart primary operations through the hot strip mill at Sparrows Point.
