Md. 5k To Benefit Companion Dog Program
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A 5k run in Annapolis is raising money to train companion dogs for veterans.
Sunday's run in Quiet Waters Park was organized by Ari Schiff, a midshipman at the Naval Academy. The race benefits America's VetDogs which trains service and therapy dogs for veterans wounded in action.
The New York-based group was founded in 2005 and is a subsidiary of Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind.
