BALTIMORE (AP/WJZ)—Tragedy on the tracks. Two people were hit by trains Sunday in separate accidents CSX says happened within 35 minutes of each other.

The first happened just after 3 a.m. when a CSX train struck a pedestrian near M&T Bank Stadium in the 1200-block of Russell Street.

That person was rushed to the hospital. No word yet on the victim’s condition.

At around 3:45 a.m., a different train killed a person after hitting them near Joppa Farm Road in Baltimore County.

Police haven’t identified the victim.

Police say the conductor alerted authorities that he had struck something that he thought was a person. The train with two locomotives and 72 freight cars was allowed to continue on its journey from Detroit to Philadelphia after a brief investigation.

How the hell do you get hit by a train ?
2 feet to the left or the right yahtzee !!!!!!!!

    1. Its a quick way out says:

Because it is quicker than jumping off the Key Bridge. Just because you want to die doesn’t mean you want to savor the moment.

      1. Heather says:

The sad part is the first person lived.

      2. pigeon says:

@ Heather – the other person lived so far

  4. Heather says:

Trains have lights and are LOUD. It was suicide dealing with trains in motion either way. It takes a mile for a train to stop after pulling the break. My heart goes out to the families.

  5. Doug says:

    Then,there is always the old,
“frozen like a deer in the headlights ” effect.

  6. who cares says:

how do you get hit by a csx train they move slower than my grandmother in her hover round

  7. pigeon says:

Considering the time of day (properly night time) – one can presume ….(you can take it from there) – don’t think it had anything to do with (intentional) suicide – more like some sort of “substance” be it liquid or otherwise.
