BLOG: Join Us For Baltimore Baseball Tonight

I'm sure most of you are still feeling the excitement from Monday's festivities at Camden Yards. I hope everyone in Baltimore had a happy and safe Opening Day. What a perfect day for baseball and a perfect way to start off the season with an undefeated 4-0 record. Thank you all for coming over to Pickles Pub to listen to the Post Game Show with Bob Haynie, Joe Orsulak and myself. What a scene that was!

As I prepare for tonight's show -- even though the Orioles are off -- I found some interesting stats. The Orioles currently rank 11th in the Majors with a .237 batting average and the rest of the American League East... Toronto is 3rd (.313) New York is 6th (.275), Boston is 13th (.200) and Tampa is 14th (.132). However, they are first in pitching with a 1.00 ERA. The rest of the American League East... Toronto is 2nd (2.00), Tampa is 18th (4.00), New York is 23rd (5.00) and Boston is a shocking LAST (9.75).

Can the Orioles keep it up?

We know now Jeremy Guthrie will not make his start on Wednesday so Buck Showalter will hand the ball to Brad Bergesen who will face Detroit's Justin Verlander in the second game of the three-game series. Make sure you tune into 105.7 The Fan from 6-7:15 p.m. with Joe Orsulak, Bob Haynie and myself or stop by Pickles Pub and visit the broadcast booth.
