Links Sought Between Robberies, Md. Slaying

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Police in Frederick say they are looking for possible links between the slaying of a Burger King manager last month and armed robberies at two other Burger Kings in Hagerstown and Martinsburg, W.Va.

Lt. Clark Pennington said Monday that police in all three jurisdictions are working together to learn whether the crimes are connected.

Jacinta Ayala was shot to death on the morning of March 18 shortly after opening the Frederick restaurant.

Police say another Burger King in Hagerstown was robbed by two men late Sunday night.

Pennington says the Martinsburg restaurant was hit by an armed robbery in January.
