Easton Mayor To Face Challenger In May Election
EASTON, Md. (AP) -- Easton Mayor Robert Willey is the only incumbent facing a challenger in the May town election.
Robert Medura has officially filed to run against Willey for town mayor. Mayoral candidates were required to file a petition signed by 30 registered voters in Easton. Town Clerk Kathy Ruf says Medura submitted his petition by Monday's deadline and that it has been certified.
Willey is seeking his third term as mayor after serving 12 years on the Easton Town Council.
Ward 1 Councilman Kelley Malone and Ward 3 Councilman Len Wendowski have also filed for the election. They are running unopposed.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 2 at the Easton firehouse on Aurora Park Drive.
