Woman Found Dead On Baltimore City Sidewalk

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A killer is on the loose after a woman was found shot dead on a Baltimore sidewalk.

Jessica Kartalija has more on the investigation.

She was shot several times right in front of her rowhouse and police have not found the killer.

Keenya Jordan spent the last 11 years helping disabled adults as a case worker.

"She said that they needed to experience life, and she made trips. They went to Las Vegas, they went to Disney World," said Sidney Washington, victim's mom.

Wednesday morning she didn't show up to work. No one could reach her on the phone or at home, so her mom started calling hospitals.

"My daughter's missing and they said she was there and you discharged her.  I don't know why she was there, what did you treat her for, who did she leave with?  She's not home, I've been to her house," said Washington.  "And they said to me that I could call the morgue and I did."

She learned that the 32-year-old had been murdered.

Police say someone shot Jordan in her head and body and left her for dead on the 600-block of Lennox Street.

Her family says her last night alive was spent out with friends.

The last communication from Keenya Jordan was a text message to a girlfriend saying that she was heading home.

Online court records show that Jordan had filed domestic abuse claims against an ex-boyfriend.

Family members are not sharing their suspicions on record.

"It's important not to speculate even if I thought something," said Washington.  "To say that would be unfair and unjust and the reality is that I really want justice to be served.  I think any minute she's going to come to all of this love and go, what y'all doing?"

Baltimore City Police say they are still working the case and interviewing people in the neighborhood and in Jordan's family.  No one has been arrested.

Baltimore City Police are still looking for information and witnesses in this case.
