Man Found Dead After Fire In Md. Convenience Store

BLADENSBURG, Md. (AP) — Police in Prince George’s County say they’re investigating the death of a convenience store owner in Bladensburg who was found inside his burning business.

Cpl. Henry Tippett, a police spokesman, says the body of Richard Changsun Nam, 69, was found Friday night as officials responded to reports of a commercial fire in the 5400-block of Annapolis Road.

He says the case is being investigated as an arson.

Tippett says there was trauma found on Nam’s body separate from the fire. Nam lived in Mitchellville.

Tippett says no suspects have been identified.

Whomever tried to cover up his dasterly deed isn’t very good at being a pyromaniac. He will get caught.
To Mr. Nam’s family, my sympathy.

Mr. Nam was an extraordinary man with a HUGE HEART!!! He was a family friend for many years and will be greatly missed. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off of his back and give you any money or any type of additional help he could give you. He never gave up on the people of Bladensburg, not even when 10 years ago his neice was killed working in the same store during a robbery. He loved his work, his friends, his family and was the type of man that you could respect.
