SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Maryland agriculture officials will start spraying for mosquito larvae on the lower Eastern Shore this week.
The Mosquito Control Section will begin spraying during daylight hours on Monday from a twin engine aircraft that will fly about 1,000 feet above ground in Dorchester and Worcester counties.
In Dorchester County, about 4,000 acres of flooded woodland will be treated in and around Cambridge. In Worcester County, about 500 acres of flooded woodland along Route 611 will be treated.
Both areas will be sprayed with an insect growth regulator.
