Baltimore Woman Celebrates 105th Birthday

BALTIMORE (AP) — A Baltimore woman is celebrating her 105th birthday.

Mary Allen’s friends and family will gather at Mo’s Crab & Pasta Factory on Saturday afternoon to celebrate the matriarch’s long life. Organizers say Allen will be presented with proclamations from the mayor, governor and president during the event.

Allen was a teacher in the Baltimore school system and has been active in the Baltimore Urban League. She is an avid bridge player and has passed her love of card games on to her family.
