HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Premier Financial Bancorp says it's completed the merger of five banking subsidiaries.
The newly minted Premier Bank has $820 million in assets and 23 branches in West Virginia, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
The merger combined Boone County Bank, First Central Bank and First Traders Bank in West Virginia with Washington-based Adams National Bank and Richmond, Va.-based Consolidated Bank and Trust.
Premier Bank officials said Monday in a news release that the new bank will provide both enhanced services and a continued community presence.
Huntington-based Premier Financial is a $1.2 billion bank holding company that also owns Citizens Deposit Bank & Trust and Farmers Deposit Bank in Kentucky and Ohio River Bank in Ohio.
