Suspect Exposed Self To 2 Carney Elementary Students

CARNEY, Md. (WJZ)—Baltimore County Police are searching for the man who exposed himself to two young students.

Weijia Jiang has the warning for parents.

On Tuesday, Carney Elementary principal sent a letter home with students to let parents know what is going on. Police say it happened right down the street from the school.

The Carney Elementary School community is on high alert after police say a man flashed his genitals at two 9-year-old students.

“No matter where you are, these predators are riding around looking for little boys or little girls,” said Nancy Frampton, grandparent.

“I immediately talked to both my sons that go to this school and reminded them about stranger policies,” said Mark Cavey, parent.

Police say the two young boys were walking to school together when the suspect pulled up in a faded red vehicle on the 3400-hundred block of Upton Road, just a couple blocks away.

“The suspect offered to give the two victims a ride to school at which time they jumped into his faded red vehicle,” said Lt. Rob McCullough, Baltimore County Police.

The suspect dropped the kids off where Upton Road deadends and there is a path that leads to the school. But just as they were getting out of the vehicle, he unzipped his pants.

The police report reveals that the suspect also made several requests for the boys to rub his private parts.

“It’s concerning because I grew up in this area. To think that could happen at any given moment, you just have to be extremely careful and obviously keep close with your children,” said Kim Condax, parent.

The victims made it to school safely, but didn’t tell a teacher until several hours later. Now police worry the suspect may be looking for other children.

Police describe the suspect to be in his 40s, with a mustache and dental braces.

Police describe the vehicle as a faded red SUV or minivan. They believe there is a car seat in the back.

  • Amy

This is an awful thing to happen to children, but it is 2011 and one might ask why two nine year olds were walking to school by themselves to begin with?

yeah amy my thoughts exactly yeah were not all stay at home moms but i sure as hell wouldnt let my boys go to school alone at that age no matter wat the law says!!!

This is why we have been asking for our children to get a bus!! The route they want these small children to walk is crazy!! Across a busy street, up a hill through the woods, then across the baseball feilds to get to school! I am one of the lucky parents who have a flexible schedule, and i drive 3’other neighborhood kids because their patents have to work!!!!! The school board needs to get on this ASAP!!!!

what the heck is up with that didnt them childrens ever teach them not to talk to strangers let alone get in the vehicle w/them i hate perverts child molesters and rapists they should all b shot or better yet cut thier u no wats off n let em bleed out a slow painful death………….if someone ever did that to my boys id hunt them down and shoot em at point blank range!!!

I’m begging you, get help. Learn to spell and use punctuation.

Hope they find the SOB. Why haven’t they been informed by their parents you DO NOT GET IN A STRANGER’S VEHICLE? I guess it’s time for schools to bring in the police to give the students safety pointers.
What a sick world we are living in. If I were younger and just starting off, getting married, there is no way I would bring a child into this world. I wouldn’t want to be either a child or a parent in today’s world.
I thank God nothing worse happened to them and they are home with their families.
There are so many schools in the Carney/Parkville area; police should be on the alert in the vicinity of ALL schools before and after class hours. And so should ANYONE dropping off or picking up their children. Perhaps leave home a little earlier and do a quick neighborhood street check.

they were told by their parents not to ever get into a stranger’s vehicle, and they did what a lot of kids do nowadays, disobey, because they believe they have things under control. they understand that they are vulnerable even more so than they did prior to this incident.

Wow, this is very scary. Both my children went to Carney. And i still live very near to the school. Praise God that these children are home with thier families tonight. I pray that they find this child predator before someone gets hurt. This person is very sick and needs serious help. Please please “PARENTS” teach your children not to talk to strangers. These children could have seriously been hurt. Everyone needs to share this articale with thier friends…Lets help find this “SICKO” before someone gets hurt.

Man got out of his car…followed us up the cement steps and tried to reach out and grab us…his pants were around his ankles….we ran like hell home and told mom…she called police. They didnt do anything about it.

i have heard alot of stories from kids and to tell ya i think these two youngsters are not being truthful. first to have an alarm go off was that he was a stranger and asked to give them a ride to school and they jumped right in the vehicle. the second was that they waited a “couple of hours” before reporting it? sorry people but something tells me these two young boys are in more trouble and that is for lying. read between the lines and you can see the flaws.

    The kids are lying.
