Court Date Put Off In Bethesda Yoga Shop Killing

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A court hearing has been postponed in the case of a woman charged with killing a co-worker inside a yoga clothing shop in Bethesda.

Brittany Norwood was to have faced a preliminary hearing Friday in Montgomery County. But the defense has waived that date, and a spokesman for the Montgomery County state's attorney's office says no action is expected to be taken for a while.

Norwood was arrested last month and charged with murder in the death of Jayna Murray, her co-worker at the Lululemon Athletica shop in Bethesda. Police say Norwood initially blamed Murray's death on two masked men who she said had entered the store and tied them up.

Norwood's lawyers did not immediately return calls seeking comment Thursday.

The next court date is May 12.
