W.Va. Woman Struck By Car, Killed In Bethesda

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -- Police say a 76-year-old West Virginia woman was struck by a car and killed while crossing a busy four-lane road in a residential section of Bethesda.

Montgomery County police say Nancy Laulis of Bridgeport, W.Va., was not in a crosswalk when she was hit around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

The driver who struck her remained at the scene.

Laulis was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died.
