SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — If you’re done doing your taxes and hungry for barbecue, you might want to head to Salisbury this weekend.

That’s where the Pork in the Park BBQ festival is being held at Winterplace Park. Organizers say 142 teams turned out last year to vie for $19,000 in prizes. They say that makes it the second largest festival sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society in the nation.

The competitors this year include teams with names such as Aporkalypse Now, Butt-A-Bing and Zombie Barbecue.

The festival began Friday, and the main competition is on Saturday. An amateur competition is also scheduled Sunday. Live entertainment from blues, country and southern rock acts is also scheduled.

Looks like I’m getting bumped by the WJZ Nazi police for speaking the truth. Guess they don’t subscribe to the “The truth shall set you free” & 1st amendment rights. Blacks & Hispanics make up more than 2/3 the population of Salisbury Md.
