Police: Body Of Missing Student With Md. Ties Found

COHOCTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities in New York say hikers have found the body of a college student from Maryland who had been missing for more than a month.

State police say the remains have been identified as those of George Delany, 21, of Frederick, Md., and that no foul play is suspected.

Results from an autopsy are expected to be released later Monday.

The Rochester Institute of Technology junior was reported missing after he left his suburban Rochester apartment March 12 and never returned.

Troopers say two hikers found the body Sunday evening in a wooded area in the northern Steuben County town of Cohocton, 45 miles south of Rochester. His car had been found not far away in the neighboring town of Wayland on March 13.
