Small Jet Skids Off Runway At BWI

LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- A small twin-engine corporate jet went off the runway as it tried to depart Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. No injuries were reported.

BWI spokesman Jonathan Dean says the plane with two pilots and one passenger on board went off the side of the runway around noon Tuesday.

Dean says the BWI Fire and Rescue Department responded to the incident as a precaution, but there was no visible damage to the plane. He says it will be inspected and removed from the runway.

It was not clear what caused the plane to go off the runway.
