CHICAGO (AP) — DePaul has signed forward Montray Clemons of Baltimore to a letter of intent.

The 6’8″ Clemons will join fellow Baltimore natives Cleveland Melvin and Brandon Young on the Blue Demons next season after spending this past year at Mack Academy in Charlotte, N.C. He played his first three prep seasons at Baltimore Poly.

DePaul announced the signing on Wednesday.

Clemons is one of six incoming freshman along with Macari Brooks (Richton Park, Ill.), Jamee Crockett (Crete, Ill.), Shane Larkin (Orlando, Fla.), Charles McKinney (Evanston, Ill.) and Derrell Robertson (Mendenhall, Miss.). DePaul has also landed transfer Donnavan Kirk from Miami (Fla.).

    At least he is doing something positive with his life instead of becoming a statistic. With MD’s record who would want to be apart of the team.
