Arizona Sends Hester To Orioles To Complete Trade

PHOENIX (AP) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks sent minor-league catcher John Hester to the Baltimore Orioles to complete a trade made late last year.

Diamondbacks general manager Kevin Towers said Saturday that the move completes the Dec. 6 trade in which Arizona got pitchers David Hernandez and Kam Mickolio from Baltimore for infielder Mark Reynolds.

Hester, 27, was hitting .263 with one homer, three doubles and five RBI in 10 games with Triple-A Reno this season.

In two seasons with the Diamondbacks, Hester hit .220 with three homers, nine doubles, 3 home runs and 11 RBI in 53 games.
