D.C. Police Arrest Teen Who Escaped Md. Facility

WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities have arrested a teenager who attacked a guard and escaped from a Maryland youth detention facility in April.

D.C. police said they recaptured Treyon Cortez Carey, 18, on Monday afternoon. He was taken into custody on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with assault on a police officer.

Authorities say Carey assaulted a Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services staff member at the New Beginnings Development Center in Laurel on April 18. Overnight staffing at the detention facility was increased in response to the escape.

With a name like that, I’m sure he’s no White guy. Why don’t the parents of these wacko’s just put a neon sign around their necks?

    • Black Pride

With a attitude like yours. Why didnt you Mother abort you???? Racist prick

      • ColdTruth

He has a right to his opinions. And it’s true that a majority of black youth have no regard or respect for anyone. Call me racist but I’d like to see a little white pride once in a while. And a white family day at the zoo for example. When black youth get a clue, I might change my tune. Until then let Sheriff speak. At least he tells it like it is.

Black Pride, You sir are the racist Prick in denial of your own race. Blacks will have my respect when they conduct themselves like normal human beings of other colors in our society. To date, all I see & read is violence, murder & beatings by both genders of Blacks. To gain respect, one must extend respect. These animals have no respect for themselves or anyone & therefore the population pays the price. White are going to start shooting back Sambo, you just wait & see tar baby.

Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate:… only love can do that” — Martin Luther King, Jr

Sheriff certainly has a right to his opinion. I don’t agree with him at times, but usually he is right. When a family cannot go to the Inner Harbor or to a carnival because of roving gangs of blacks then something is wrong.

everyone does have the right to there opinions, and when you voice them is when you show your true intelligance or lack there of. if you want a white pride day go outside…its all day everyday. you want white family day at the zoo…pick a day and go. please do not forget the trials and tribulations black people have expeirenced to get where they are. forgetting what they have been through is like closing the history books. white children are just as disrepectfull as black children…i see it everyday when i look outside in my prodominatly white neighborhood. black people i say have pride and show it because its a beautiful thing. (maybe us white people should take some notes)
