2 Hopkins Students Hit By Car

BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) -- Baltimore police say they're investigating whether the driver of a car that hit two Johns Hopkins University students was intoxicated.

According to police, an 18-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were struck by a car  at 2:15 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of St. Paul and 33rd streets, near the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus.

They were taken to an area hospital where they are in serious condition.  The students' names have not been released.

Police say the driver, who was taken into custody at the scene, may have been drinking. But they have not said whether the driver will be charged. They have not released the driver's name.
