WHITEFORD, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a 72-year-old man who was the subject of a Silver Alert has been found dead in a car partially submerged in a creek in Harford County.

Police say a man walking on Pylesville Road in the Whiteford area noticed tire tracks in the grass leading to a grey car in Broad Creek.

Emergency workers found Edward Jackson of Rossville dead inside the car. Baltimore County Police issued a Silver Alert earlier Tuesday morning for Jackson and his car. He was last seen leaving the Veterans Affairs Hospital early Monday.

The cause of death is still being investigated and will be determined pending autopsy results.
