Toddler Saved By Good Samaritan

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A toddler is alive because a stranger jumped into filthy, cold water and pulled her to safety.

Michelle Gordon, 34, was at a Fish Market in Southwest Washington, D.C. when she saw the 14-month-old fall into a tight space between a barge and the concrete wall.

The girl's mother couldn't swim and screamed for help.

Gordon just jumped in.

The baby, Gordon and the baby's mother were all taken to the hospital to be checked. The baby is just fine.
