3 People Dead After Single Car Crash
OLNEY, Md. (WJZ) -- Montgomery County police are investigating a single car crash that killed three people.
It happened at approximately 3:11 a.m. in the 4700 block of Olney Laytonsville Road.
Investigators say a silver, 2007, Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound, when it veered off the road and hit a tree. The driver of the car, Kevin Coffay, 20, fled the scene but was apprehended by police three hours later.
Spencer Datt and Haeley McGuire, both 18, and John Hoover, 20, were all pronounced dead.
The driver and another passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.
