Funeral Services Set For Teen In Olney Crash

DERWOOD, Md. (AP) — Mourners are paying final respects to one of three teenagers killed in a car crash in Olney over the weekend.

Funeral services for Haeley McGuire, 18, were set for Wednesday morning at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Derwood.

Montgomery County police say they’re expecting big crowds, and officers will be on hand to help with traffic.

McGuire and two others were killed early Sunday when a car that police say was driven by Kevin Coffay, 20, left the road and struck a tree.

Police say Coffay fled the scene and after a three-hour search was arrested on hit-and-run charges.

Funeral services for the other two teenagers are scheduled for later in the week.

Meanwhile the POS responsible is free on bail at a cost of $5k which is 10% of the measly $50k bail. The judge should drop dead & this prick get hit by a truck.

This is an absolute trajedy for ALL involved, including the young man who was driving the car. Many more lives were ruined by this horrible accident than the three who lost their lives; it is ignorant and insensitive to brutally bash the poor kid who now has to deal with the fact that he killed three of his closest friends because of one stupid decision. Obviously he has to deal with the implications of his unwise actions, but he is probably suffering from this just as much as anyone else who has been touched by this horrible event.
