Pa. Educator Named Caroline Schools Head
DENTON, Md. (AP) -- The Caroline County Board of Education has selected a Pennsylvania educator as its next superintendent.
Dr. Khalid Mumin, director of secondary education in the Centennial School District in Bucks County, Pa., has been selected to succeed Dr. Ed Shirley, who will retire June 30.
Mumin said he aims to continue the county's record of high academic achievement in spite of the limited resources by ensuring programs that keep it up are funded. He is also interested in expanding technology class offerings.
