2 Md. Men Accused Of Fighting Outside Fundraiser

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) -- Two Somerset County men are accused of brawling outside a bar that was holding a fundraiser.

Police say George R. Jones and Philip Hopkins Murray, both of Princess Anne, face charges including disorderly conduct and second-degree assault. They were released on $15,000 bond Wednesday from the Somerset County Detention Center and are scheduled for trial on June 30.

Police say the two men fought Tuesday night in the parking lot of Peaky's Restaurant in Princess Anne. The fight caused injuries that required medical attention.

The fight was not connected to the fundraiser, which was held on behalf of a farmer who was injured in a recent accident.
