Frederick Deputy Facing More Teen Sex Charges

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — A Frederick County sheriff’s deputy is facing two more charges of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.

A Frederick County grand jury indicted Sam Bowman, 46, of New Market on Friday on the two additional counts.

Bowman was originally charged with child sex abuse and a fourth-degree sex offense. State’s Attorney Charlie Smith said he now faces two additional fourth-degree sex offense counts for acts alleged to have occurred with the ninth-grade student between March 9 and March 15.

Bowman had been with the sheriff’s office since August and was a school resource officer at Walkersville High School. Police say they began investigating after Child Protective Services called with information from a third party.

all cops have no fear on matters such as this first of all who investigates –dah cops do and it is rare that they condem a follow officer under most 90% or better when a cop brakes the law he does not have to go to court his superior decides whenand if any punishment is to be handed out its not like the average citizen they get carte blanche its no processing no finger prints no loss of wages no incovience no worry especially when a lie detector is used to see if he has used unnecessary force or any other form of breaking the law the cops can beat the hell out of you and chaqrge you with attacting them

Law enforcement has become out of hand. Not only are they deciding the justice nowadays but they seem to also be allowed to dish out the sentence and punishment as well. It’s not suprise that so many officers in every branch of law enforcement are being caught with child rape and sex allegations, what about the ones who’ve also raped women motorists that get swept under the carpet? Or how about the woman in Ohio who was physically body searched in her own home for no good reason? Law enforcement to me are a bunch of disgusting badge wielding pedophiles, rapists and law breakers themselves.

Dont let the few that disgrace the badge change your judgement on all police officers. We do not condone any law breakers and put forth all effort to live day to day to higher standard. I will bet that not one officer would ever condone his actions. If all these charges are true and he if found guilty I hope he rots under the prison. But remember that he has to be found guilty first.

@George – That is the standard reply given by LEO’s and their fans. The truth is that corruption is so prevalent and widespread that it has become a lifestyle. No longer are the LEO’s out to ‘serve and protect’ unless it is for their own. LEO’s are not bad people by nature, the position of authority makes them that way.

And these are the people that suppose to protect us. I think a new law should be sent forth and whom ever wears that uniform and do wrong will get the MAX punishment under the Law period, no if or but about it. Do not apply for the position if you’re not ready for the punishment period…
