BALTIMORE (AP) -- Mayors from around the country will gather in Baltimore in June for the annual meeting of The United States Conference of Mayors.

The economy, job creation, transportation, high-speed rail, homeland security, immigration and energy efficiency top this year's agenda at the meeting set to run from June 17 to 21. The mayors will also vote on policy resolutions to forward to Congress and the administration in hopes of shaping federal legislation.

Speakers at the conference include House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Martin O'Malley, Arianna Huffington and U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tom Donohue.

On the last day of the conference, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will be inaugurated as the new president of the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more.
