BALTIMORE (AP) — Hundreds of Baltimore seniors are gearing up for a power walk to celebrate the benefits of exercise and fitness in one’s golden years.
The Department of Recreation and Parks’ senior division and the Commission on Aging and Retirement Education are hosting a day of fitness Wednesday at Patterson Park.
The event marks National Senior Health and Fitness Day, which aims to promote good health and vitality through active, healthy lifestyles.
More than 600 seniors have registered for the event, which includes a fitness walk around the lake, low-impact aerobics, line dancing, health screenings and contests.
