Md. Sex Predator Gets 30 Years On Photo Evidence

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — A sexual predator who photographed his female victims is starting a 30-year prison term.

Frederick resident Robert Onley III, 37, was sentenced Thursday in Frederick. He pleaded guilty in February to 11 charges involving seven women.

Prosecutors say Onley used a stolen camera phone to secretly photograph women in various settings and stages of undress. Some pictures showed him fondling women who were passed out drunk.

Police say they cracked the case after Onley lost the camera phone while breaking into a car. The recovered device contained pictures that Onley unwittingly took of himself while aiming the camera under women’s dresses.
