New Community Center Set To Open In Howard County

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) —  A new community center is opening in Howard County.

County Executive Ken Ulman and other officials will attend the opening and ribbon-cutting Friday of the North Laurel Community Center. The center is a 63,000-square-foot building with a gym, walking and jogging track, basketball and volleyball courts and fitness rooms and studios. The center will also hold space for the county health and police departments.

Also scheduled to attend Friday’s event are Maryland state Sen. James Robey and Delegate Guy Guzzone.
