BLOG: O's Pitching Helping To Win Games

After a 1-5 road trip out West, the Orioles have won their last two games at home behind solid pitching performances by Brian Matusz - who won his first game of the season - and Chris Jakubauskas, who was making a spot start in what has been a four-man rotation. It's steaming up in Baltimore - today's temperatures could reach 101 degrees - and so are the Orioles. Will they complete the sweep of the Oakland A's tonight with Zach Britton on the mound?

With an off day tomorrow, the O's will get a much-needed day of rest before the Tampa Bay Rays come into town for a three-game series. What are your thoughts on Nick Markakis this season -- I think we all expected him to have a lot more extra-base hits and home runs. What about Brian Roberts, who visited a concussion specialist yesterday in Pittsburgh and has yet to resume baseball activities? Are those your two biggest concerns right now on the team?

Make sure you tune into 105.7 The Fan every night at 6pm for Baltimore Baseball Tonight with Bob Haynie (host), Joe Orsulak or Jim Duquette (analysts) and myself (reporter) or stop by Pickles Pub across from Camden Yards and see the broadcast live.

Wednesdays are Dana Hoiles giveaway days where we will be giving away a piece of her amazing sports jewelry to one lucky fan. But you can't win if you aren't there. So come by Pickles Pub and fill out a raffle slip for your chance to win an unique piece of her jewelry. Tonight we will be giving away an Orioles colored baseball bracelet -- you won't want to miss your chance to win.
