Tow Truck Driver Found Slain In Oxon Hill

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say they are investigating the killing of a 43-year-old man found lying in a roadway in Oxon Hill.

Police say Anton DeMichael Agurs of Capitol Heights was found at the intersection of Bald Eagle Road and Oxon Hill Farm Road on Tuesday night. Authorities say Agurs was suffering from trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Agurs's wife, Alethea, says her husband was a self-employed tow truck driver who had started his own company. She says he left their home on Tuesday night after someone apparently called him about a towing job and never returned.
