BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU has named Baltimore Orioles minor league pitching coordinator Alan Dunn as the Tigers’ new pitching coach.
Dunn, who spent the previous three seasons as Baltimore’s bullpen coach before switching duties this season, officially
joined LSU on Friday.
He takes over for former LSU recruiting coordinator and pitching coach David Grewe, who resigned late last month to pursue other opportunities after the Tigers missed the NCAA tournament.
LSU head coach Paul Mainieri says Dunn’s experience developing pro pitchers will make him a top college pitching coach.
Dunn pitched two years in the Detroit Tigers’ farm system and spent more than a decade as a minor league pitching coach before joining Baltimore in 2007.
