BLOG: Same Old Orioles
I really thought things were going to be different this year. Buck Showalter came in last season and we saw positive signs, and I honestly thought there would be more to come this season. This weekend's Orioles series against Tampa Bay was a sign that maybe not much has changed. The O's won Friday night, and behind two Mark Reynolds home runs, looked to take Saturday's game and the series. Unfortunately, JJ Hardy gets robbed of a home run, Felix Pie misplays a fly ball, and Robert Andino commits a throwing error, and a win turns into a loss to the Rays. Of course on Sunday Brian Matusz goes to the mound with nothing and the O's lose Sunday and lose the series. If the Orioles are going to take the next step, weekends like this have to change
