24 Arrested At Weekend Phish Concerts In Maryland

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) — Two dozen people were arrested over the weekend at a pair of Phish concerts at Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Howard County Police say they seized marijuana, hashish, ecstasy, nitrous oxide and methamphetamine. Officers also seized more than $2,000 in cash and three vehicles containing drugs.

The jam-band played at the Columbia venue on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Twenty-one of the arrests were drug-related, while the three others were for disorderly conduct and trespassing. Police say they also issued 22 alcohol citations.

Sounds like people getting arrested for victimless crimes. Hope you look forward to supporting them because they will not be able to find gainful employment in the future because they wanted to have a good time.

wouldn’t it be better to have them paying taxes instead of useing them?

    You sound fat.

Pointless! When are they going to give up on busting people for recreational drug use. Obviously these people were just partying and having a good time. I see nothing of any altercations written in this article. It’s time for us to decrimimalize drugs and start to treat it as an addiction issue. Our jails are overcrowding with users that have done harm to no one but theirselves.

It doesn’t say that the disorderly conduct and trespassing arrests were drug related.
