Police To Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint In Riverdale

RIVERDALE, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police are planning a sobriety checkpoint in Riverdale.

The checkpoint along the Riverdale Road corridor will be conducted from 9 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the checkpoint is meant to encourage those who drink to use designated drivers.

Riverdale Road was the site of a fatal hit-and-run last weekend in which a motorcyclist was struck and killed.
