The man is among MLB’s leaders in victories, but outside of Baltimore, I don’t think anyone is aware.  Jake Arrieta won again last night, running his season record to 9-4 with a 4.50 ERA.  Arrieta is a perfect example of its not necessarily how well you pitch, but when you pitch.  He’s been far from lights out.  Last night for example, he was spotted a 5-0 lead in Pittsburgh before he stepped on the mound.  He won, but could only give the Orioles five innings.  Too much nibbling in my opinion.  Jake Arrieta is a good young pitcher.  The good news for Buck Showalter and Orioles fans is he can be much, much better.
