How Do You Want To Access The Chesapeake?

BALTIMORE (AP) -- How do you want to get onto the Chesapeake?

The National Park Service is holding a series of open houses to ask residents where to place piers, boat ramps, swimming areas and other means of accessing the bay and its tributaries.

An open house is scheduled Wednesday at the Fort McHenry visitor center in Baltimore, Monday at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library and Tuesday in Richmond. The open houses begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m.

The federal bay restoration strategy calls for providing 300 more public access sites in the bay watershed by 2025.
