BLOG: Chance Of Showers

The comfortable weekend continues. The dewpoints/humidity remain low today, while temperatures are still running a few degrees below the average of 85 degrees. However, warmer and more muggy air is moving our way courtesy of a warm front.

The warm front is moving into Maryland a little quicker than we expected. It's responsible for the clouds overspreading the state and some showers in western Maryland this evening. Even though the batch of showers has been breaking up, there is the chance for a shower or two as the whole area moves across the state tonight. There will still be the chance for a shower tomorrow before the warm front clears us. Otherwise, expect times of clouds and some sunshine.

We jump into the warmer and more muggy air on Tuesday, albeit briefly. Highs will get close to 90 degrees and the heat index will make it feel like the low 90s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will break out as the cold front part of the storm comes through Tuesday. But this is a fast-moving storm and will get out of here already by Wednesday. When it does, both the temperatures and humidity/dewpoints will go right back down for Wednesday and Thursday with sunshine taking over again.

The next storm looks like it will pass north of us on Friday. We will have to see how close it gets, but right now it looks like the showers will stay north of us. Then, warmer air moves our way for the holiday weekend.
