Body Found During Search For Teen Identified

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland State Police have identified the body of a 55-year-old man found during a search in April for a North Carolina teenager, who was later found dead.

John Hagegeorge's body was found April 9 in Patapsco Valley State Park. Authorities were searching the park for clues in the disappearance of Phylicia Barnes of Monroe, N.C., who went missing late last year. Barnes' body was found days later in the Susquehanna River. Police have no suspects in her death, which was ruled a homicide.

Troopers say Hagegeorge's last known address was in Catonsville.

An autopsy showed he died from exposure and natural causes.

No identification was found at a makeshift campsite where Hagegeorge's body was found. During autopsy, knee replacements were found, and authorities used their serial numbers to identify him.
