CHESTERTOWN, Md. (AP) — An Eastern Shore school is holding a birthday celebration this weekend for workboats that have spent a combined 370 years on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

The fleet includes the 110-year-old skipjack Elsworth and the Twilight, a 100-year-old workboat. Other boats in the fleet are the Spirit, a 67-year-old workboat, the 54-year-old buyboat Annie D., and the 39-year-old Chester River bateau Ric.

The celebration Saturday is being hosted by the Echo Hill Outdoor School in Chestertown. The event will be held at the foot of High Street, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
