BALTIMORE (WJZ)—We’re less than 24 hours from the ohhhs and ahhhs. Dozens of fireworks shows are scheduled for across the state.

Adam May reports the biggest one will be in downtown Baltimore.

They’re loading fireworks and wiring fuses for this year’s Ports America Fourth of July Inner Harbor fireworks show.

“They’re gonna see an awesome show,” said Victor Weimann, lead tech. “We have some jellyfish that are brand new, we have half moons.” 

There are also other new fireworks called stained glass– a total of 1,400 shells.

“The show is approximately 18 minutes, choreographed to festive music, so if you’re right in the Harbor, you can hear it and you can enjoy the Fourth of July with us,” said Dionne McConkey, Baltimore Promotion and Arts.

While the details are hush, we hear there’s a special song and fireworks with a National Aquarium theme. 

The set-up crew looks forward to seeing their hard work blow up.

“We live for the crowds screaming ‘awesome show, awesome show,’ the clapping, it’s a great feeling,” Weimann said.

There will also be concerts all afternoon and evening at West Shore Park and the Inner Harbor amphitheater. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. at the Inner Harbor.
