Germantown Infant Dies In Bathtub Drowning
GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) -- An 11-month-old Germantown girl has died after being found unresponsive in a bathtub.
Police say the infant was left unattended in the tub for a short period of time Sunday afternoon and found unresponsive by a family member. She was pronounced dead just before 6 a.m. Monday at Children's National Medical Center in Washington.
The District of Columbia medical examiner's office is doing an autopsy, and Montgomery County Child Protective Services is also investigating.
