BALTIMORE (AP) — Maryland labor officials say job seekers have a new online tool for finding green jobs.

The state’s labor department announced Tuesday the launch of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Collaborative’s Green Works Jobs Portal. The online service provides free job search and recruitment tools for jobseekers and employers in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

The regional collaborative also released an analysis of green jobs in the region.

The employer survey found the region has about 235,000 employees involved in the production or provision of green products and services. Those employees represent between 3 percent and 4 percent of total jobs in the region with energy efficiency and conservation accounting for the most jobs.
