Sykesville Man Wanted In Abduction, Assaults

SYKESVILLE, Md. (AP) — The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says it is searching for a Sykesville man wanted in the assault of his girlfriend and daughter and abduction of his girlfriend’s 8-year-old son.

The sheriff’s office says Michael Andrew Terrell, 31, assaulted his girlfriend and 2-year-old daughter in Sykesville on Monday evening. The office says Terrell then abducted his girlfriend’s son and fled the area.

Officials say Terrell released the boy in the Mounty Airy area about 45 minutes later. The boy was returned unharmed to his mother.

The sheriff’s office says a warrant has been issued for Terrell on charges of abduction and two counts of assault.
