So this workout of course starts with the warm up. The wide outs and gate swings are no joke, so happy once they are over. So during this exercise my trainer Hakeem got out a few hurdles and had me doing a couple different exercises. Hakeem noticed in my warm ups that my hips were really tight, so that's what we focused on in my workout. We had 4 hurdles in front of me... First we did an over under drill, alternating stepping over and under the hurdles. After a few sets working both hips we moved on to kicking my legs over the side of each hurdle. Then we switched it up and i started working my hips more by lifting my knees over each hurdle. Finally we got into some core work, i did a superset of 3 different exercises working on my abs lifting a pole above my head and swing my hips toward the bench and following that up with side to side jumps over a hurdle. Then lastly we lifted the same pole over my head and my legs at the same time while swinging my hips from side to side.
